Okay, I wanted to share too. Ignore everyone (chickens) the background...they are some of my etcs. Our birds are spoiled...but I am building/planning pens to start a breeding/showing program of the seramas. I also have my misc layers and I am getting into the black and lav orps.

Anyway...all your gorgeous photos got me wanting to post.

Her is my DD with Adam....this photo was probably taken in Late July or August. Adam is a February hatch...so he is not a year old. He is also the cockerel in my avatar (me looking up at him). He moulted out the first of September and his beautiful tail feathers are still growing in...they are black and white. He looks so pretty....I will have to get another/better photo of him. We call him misc color...but really, what is this?

I probably need to get more photos for you to give me ideas on type. He is much fuller in the chest now.

Technically he's black, but carries mottled and has red/gold leakage. He might have a little duckwing in there, but I don't think so.

This is honey Bee she is one of those birds i have kind of over look . but as she gets older she is better in type i might just take her to the show in nov !

Okay, I could not handle the pressure: I went and took photos of Adam real quick. It is getting dark and he was not happy about me putting him on that glass table then shoving this camera in his face...but this is what I could do in a quick sec.

Look at all the white that has come out on him since his younger photo? Looking at all your birds I really think that it would take a lot to improve his type via off spring to get a SQ. I will probably leave him as a pet with my daughter with his 2 hens and get some SQ birds for me. Or am I totally off base...is there a chance? I really need to go and study more the Serama type....but it is easier hearing it from you pros. I can take it...I am asking for the truth. But do remember...not the best of photos. He is still growing in some of his feather from just having come out of a moult...so I think he still looks a bit rough.

BTW, thank you on the color...we have been just calling him frankenstein. His mannerism is fantastic though. he is the perfect pet bird.

Oh and ignore all the junk in the background (my yard).
