He is soooo pretty. Thank goodness it was nothing serious. I also got a patchwork quilt hatch.........so many different color combos. That is why I am hatching more eggs from this trio to see if there is any consistency at all.https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/62617_cimg5314.jpg
Your boyz are handsome Brenda....I like the cocopop colored ones best.
Did you mark the eggs to see who throw what for you from your trio???
Thank you and you answered a big question for me! I really wanted to know if any were cocopop as they looked like they may be but being new to Seramas, I really wasn't sure. I have had the trio together since I got them and it is very difficult to tell whose eggs are whose. I have been trying to tell by any difference in shape but they are pretty close so I would not trust that. I have yet to catch one laying. Of course I know who all the frizzles are from because only one of the hens is frizzled. I have invested in quite a few of the wire kennels and I will be able to separate breeding pairs from now on. I could remove one of the hens but I really do not want her to be alone. I have 8 eggs in the bator and getting ready to set up the other bator for the next batch. I am just interested to see what they produce in this next round.
