How adorable. I just hatched one a few days ago that I think may end up looking similar this. She is totally white with black tips on her wings

Love the black and white ones. I love all the Serama colors, but black and white is just so striking

Hey Everyone! Awesome pics of all the chickies. Just gotta love 'em. I've been soo.. busy this week, birthday parties, and of course The Superbowl!!! I hate cleaning for company, ugh! Anyway, I'm trying to play catch up on all of the post's I've missed!
I'm also glad they've re-opened the thread again! We have wonderful moderators!

Eli- I had an awesome hatch from BHep's eggs. Look her up, she's very reasonable, and the eggs came safely packaged. I hatched 8 out of 15 eggs, which is very good for shipped Seramas. I'm in PA too, so they had to travel the same distance for me as they would you.
Cluck-Cluck: hope you're feeling better! This flu crap is kicking a lot of butts.
I'm hoping tomorrow to post update pics of my crew, and get some coloring opinions from everyone. Hopefully my guys will cooperate. Hmmm...

Ra_, I enjoyed your video. Why do you call them Tribbles?

When my bird Tumbleweed was young, she tucked her head under her wing for her nap
and she looked just like a Tribble from the original Star Trek.



I don't strive for the "Toy Soldier" posture that most Serama enthusiasts seek to replicate.
I am trying to work towards the Ball body type.
A Silkied Serama that has a rounder body combined with thick fluffy plumage = a Tribble Serama.

Ball type is one of the types bred in Malaysia but I understand that they don't breed Silkied Serama,

awww all these chicks are making me jealous!! They are soo adorable. I want serama chicks :'( but i keep having set backs. It froze in my neck of the woods yesterday and my thermostat is old, and the bator temp spiked to 112! 4 days before hatch date..... I have no clue how long it was like that! I am still hopeful even though i see no movment from the little embryos and I am going to leave them til the 8th, my 2 CD eggs didnt make it for sure, much to early in the process they were due on the 14th. ugh! I see a new botor in my future!

The one thing I don't like about this one is the fact that you can't calibrate the thermometer or hygrometer. You are just taking their word for it that they are both reading accurately. Out of all the hygrometers and thermometers I have bought that say factory calibrated NONE of them was correct.
