All the chick pictures has made me excited. I have three pips right now with lots of peeping and other eggs wiggling. My last hatch I missed all the hatching so this one feels like it is taking forever since I really want to see. In thinking ahead I wondered at what point do you intervene when you have an external pip but no zipping. I had read that Seramas can have trouble.

Very good article. I have assisted with several but for some reason I was thinking the time line was different with Seramas because they are so much smaller. I'm up to five pips now. I had four eggs that when I candled I thought they might be quitters but put them in anyway. One of them is pipped and I am so glad I didn't just pitch them.
