Here is a great article on the lethal "short legged gene" that can be present in serama. It states that if you cross a short legged with a long leggedyou will get 25% DIS, 25% long legged, and 50% short legged. I believe this would explain your hatch results.

short legs is creeper gene not lethal gene....

The creeper gene is what I was referring to. It's lethal in the homozygous state.

ideally short legs should be culled in a perfect world,undesireable.
