American serama thread!

Well id keep mine chz im not striving for perfect just better
There ya go!!!! I have a Roo with Wry tail but I just can't see letting him go because of it!!!! Way too nice of a bird . Pet quality yes, But they're all pets to me as I am not interested in showing them. That being said I am not letting him breed either.

I am not interested in showing or if they are perfect. I love them for what they are. my babies. even though i only have one pr. at the moment . they are very close if not perfectly show able. with that being said, I want to learn all there is for the perfect serama ,defects, ect... if its not to standard then is it really a serama? is it mixed with bantam if the legs are very long ? really no way to tell unless they are standard. theres not a dna test . LOL most of my birds are mutt. I keep them based on color for the most part. the seramas will be a great challenge for me that I am sooo looking forward to. my favorite right now is a mixed bantam flock of babies i bought for a dollar a pc. they are very fun.

Well napoleon in my. profile pic one first last year at fair so hes perfectly show able abd yeah maybe when i learn more ill focus kn getting a perfect serama but right now they are my babies

I have 3 serama/ ameraucana bantam crosses. They all have the creeper legs. I didn't know about that's what they were. Just thought they weee dumpy looking. They won't be bred to my serama but also won't be culled I'll keep them for a project and maybe breed them back to a bantam blue ameraucana roo because they all ended up being hens. They look funny and even have very wide heads. Like block heads. One has muffs and the others have pea combs. Could I breed them back to a bantam ameraucana and they be OK? Do all breeds carry the creeper leg gene? Or is it just serama?

hello everyone! :) i recently fell in love with seramas and just picked up my first group today. meant to get five, came back with nine, ain't that just how it goes haha. they're about three weeks old. fully six of these lil guys are silkied and there's already noticeable size differences between them, so i'm super excited to see what i actually end up with. i believe they're all from a gorgeous red rooster (from jerry's lines) over a silkied white hen. hope you don't mind if i post a bunch of photos? :D
