American serama thread!

Hello Guys. I have to say I am crazy for Seramas, just got my first pair about 3 weeks ago, why did I wait so long.I live in south Ga, and I am looking for breeders here in Ga,or north Florida, or breeders that can ship. They are the most amazing little chickens they were not that tame when I got them, but now they are eating out of my hand, and running to the gate when they see me,( I do spoil my kids

).Love these little guys.

That's one of the things I love about them. They are naturally so tame and sweet.

I wanted to post some of my oh so loved Seramas.
Athena & Apollo

Molly & Prince

Jingles(whom started this craze) & his girl Lacy

Count Chocula and his new girls.

You have Swedish Flowers! Where do you get them?!

You mean like those speckledy ones? I have some colored like those. That's a very common color pattern in Seramas.

I have a mottled rooster almost old enough for breeding, and I'm going to put him with Flora, who has a mille fleur coloring. I think I'll get some spectacularly beautiful chicks out of those two.

hey everyone! I have a quick question in regards to breeding these gorgeous birds!

do you have to separate colors for breeding? or is it alright to have a variety of colors together to hatch from and sell eggs from? im trying to find the best way and common may of breeding these guys. thanks :)

That's a personal choice. Just put them together however you want for colors. I'm going to try to do some color breeding after I have enough to work with. Right now I don't have very many.

thanks so much! right now I think I want a variety because I don't think the buyers would mind since seramas are more of an ornamental breed.
