American serama thread!

I'm new here and as such I have been reading many posts. I keep reading that buyers need to be aware that there are people passing off eggs as serama when they are not. A few weeks ago I mentioned to my wife that I liked how the serama looked and that the small size would be great for us as we are limited as to room. A few days later-SURPRISE-20 serama eggs were delivered along with a 2 dozen silkie eggs. A dozen of the silkie eggs came to us as a mistake; my wife insisted she did not order them. There was no return address so there was nothing to be done to right the situation. None of that dozen were viable.

The serama and silkie eggs are due to hatch in the next couple of days. The last time I candled eggs, a week ago, 12 serama eggs were developing. After reading the posts about being cautious, and I know my wife wasn't, I'm wondering. Does anyone know these names of the people that my wife bought eggs from? Alyssa Asteya-Portland, OR; David Brogdan-not sure where from (the box label I'm reading from is torn)-Florida?; Henry Napier-Manchester, KY.

I pulled out 28 chicks (I think that's what I counted), and I pulled out 4 bad eggs, 2 of which were chicks that had pipped and died. I put 18 eggs back in to see if I get any late hatchers. At least one of those was pipped and cheeping.
Could sell at the fair this summer. Just post an ad if you submit an entry.
