American serama thread!

Does anyone have hens that are laying well right now? I am looking for eggs to set on the 11th more or less
Thanks in advance!

I didn't think it was positively destroyed, I was just sympathetic that you lost a possible keeper.

I like the color.
Not sure here, but the pullet in my picture is doing very well. It was her brother that was culled.

Well i may of just lost my whole hatch.. Came home to an incubator of 110 any chance they will survive or are they all done for?

Was that the thermometer temperature (measures the temperature of the air) or a hygrometer temperature (measures the internal temperature of the egg)? If it's a hygrometer temperature they're cooked. If it's an air temperature then there's a chance they're fine depending on how long it was that high. Usually when you find an incubator's temperature is too high or to cold you can dip each egg in water that's between 99°-100.5°F to get them back to proper temperature. At this point it's been too long for that to make a difference. I would do the same as you're doing and incubate them to term. I hope they hatch :fl

Well the Hatching bug got me again, told myself I wouldn't hatch till spring but just popped another dozen Serama eggs into the bator
