American serama thread!

Hopefully you'll have some of your own soon.
Tribbles don't have feet. They have mighty talons.
A week from Saturday or sooner. I think I remember you posting that your eggs, like mine, hatch in 19 days. If so then the eggs would hatch next Thursday. I enjoy looking at the pictures you've posted.

Gracie & Beverly produced those Sisters, along with Deanna's help.
I have about a dozen eggs that I just collected from them.
I just listed them for sale on my egg page.
If anyone takes the full dozen, it will include one of the first eggs from both Powder & Worf's girls.

Did you see the earlier post from a women looking for serama eggs (page 2443)? I know she has been looking for some time. She wanted to buy from me but I do not ship.

Yes, she asked me for birds. I wasn't offering any but I decided today to let the Sisters go, at the right price. They're very expensive but I don't mind keeping them at all, so it's a win/win.
I don't know if my expensive exotic pets are the best choice for kids wanting to merge into a community. They're more for freaks.

And I'm proud to be a freak!

I need to buy a pair of seramas or serama eggs to hatch for my grandson to show at our Wayne county Ohio fair this year. We are new to hatching and have 2 incubatore one Little Giant w/egg turner and one styro incubator that Drew made for his science project. Drew has cared for a flock of 40 chickens for 10 months and had done 90% of all feeding and cleaning. I own 5 sultuns and 11 silkis. Drew has mostly brown egg layers and 3 cochin roosters. Drew sells the eggs from home and in the summer he takes them to town at the farm market. The egg sales have paid for not only the feed but also the fencing, netting feeding dishes and the incubators. Oh, and school lunches! Drew is dedicated to the chickens and as a grandma (and chicken advisor to his 4-H club) I am trying to do what I can to find some seramas. We could buy what ever is necessary or available. Please PM me if you can help or know where I could get some seramas

The only color of Serama that they accept in chicken shows are all black....Unless you have Serama tabletop shows in your area, then they can be any color...

The 4-H is not a sanctioned show but we do use their poultry judges so any color of Serama will do. We are not into poultry shows or show birds, just birds as true to the breed as we can get. The Seramas would be kept separate from the other laying chickens and I hope to make chicken diapers soon. My white silkis and sultuns will be in their own area also as I do not want to cross breed.
