check it out sue...
i have this setup... it's pretty cool, but kind of hard to get the equilibrium started... i forget to feed them sometimes, and it's three trays, so i forget what the bottom two are doing... LOL... but it's pretty cool, doesn't take up that much room really...
but... i think i'm gonna upgrade to this mealworm setup... only gonna use a longer tray with the filter on the bottom over a huge rubbermaid container... that way it will match the other rubbermaid containers for the roaches i breed...
i think it will be easier to feed and maintain this way... just grab the beetles or larvae from the bottom container and put them up top... it can't be easier than that...
although... my local fish store sells mealworms 100 for a dollar... also, the feedstore in compton sells big bags of freeze dried mealworms for 6-10 bucks... i don't know how many it has, but it is a fat bag...
but still... i rather grow my own... right...? less plastic and mess in the landfills...
