here's what i got from kate...

this guy is so typey... i ♥ him... i have him with a little black hen with spangles on her face... i lamed it for not taking pics of her... but this guy... man, i know a lot of people here don't like his color, but coming from an OEGB kind of view... there is nothing that color in OEGB... so i had to have him... actually, jose (bgfcjoe) wanted him but he doesn't have room right now... but dude... his so dope... need to think of names...

this dude is gorgeous... son of kate's gorgeous roo "snickers"... i know i said i didn't want to get any fawn/dun or chocolate birds, but as soon as i saw him, i knew i was going to go home with him... i'm gonna name him cowboy... that's right... chocolate cowboy... that's his stage name... LOL... kate had him with a micro serama... they are very attached to eachother, so kate didn't want to leave the micro there by himself so i took him...

this is squeeky... his a micro, and since he's a micro, he's kind of deformed of some sort... his legs don't let him do what normal chickens can... he makes weird high pitch rooster noises, so that's how he got his name... he's cute and sweet, but micro's don't live for that long... i'm sure i'll give him a great life and spoil him while i can... he is very small and tough...

i also took home some chicks that are now brooding in my brooder... LOL...


i have to start working with the roo's and hens... so need to get some mealworms asap... LOL... i also need to get rid of a lot of pigeons... anyone want some rare pretty egyptian swifts for cheap...? also some rare figuritas for cheap...? let me know... LOL...

Very cute cute. Beautiful markings on the lil hen and the color is really nice and black with that white, neat.

I gave a trio of month old chicks to a FFA student today. He lives in town so he's not able to have the typical projects. His FFA class at school will have some sort of exhibition so that will make them even more fun.

Also, my husband is a Lion's Club member and they are located across the highway from our local HS here, just 6 miles from our place. Our HS has asked the Lions Club to host a small animal show for rabbits and poultry for the youth in our area. I'm pushing for it and would love to have it open to adults as well.

Good morning.
I have pips and peeps this morning.
but do not think the egg I wrote about yesterday is going to make it.....
Had some progress yesterday afternoon.now nothing.
Would be wondeful if it is just really slow and resting....

Woke up wondering about the shipment to Memphis.............

Some of my nice LF hens are missing.I have to wonder if someone stole them.
No sign of struggle, no feathers strewn about, they are just gone...
We are moving and have been in and out a lot. Also had a lot of people on the property for sales.

I am hoping to take a break from reality and get some pics today.
I want some feedback on a little roo..He is cuter than cute, 6 months old
and believes he is King........ Also one cockerel that is most solid orange
so wonder what his color would be called......
He is trying to crow and it is the funniest sound .
Makes me LOL every time I hear him....
