I won't be going back to NYC anytime soon if ever again, the streets were filthy, ppl were rude and ya darn near had to be a millionaire just to feed yourself not to mention there is a reason they call it the city that never sleeps.... Soooo noisey 24/7 I don't think I had one night where I got mre then 2 hours of sleep. The streets were dangerous but much safer then a cab believe it or not. The ceremony we held for our mom in central park was great tho, altho very emotional. I only had 1 loss while I was gone and it was an expected one. My lil cross bred serama/ee hen suffered a massive prolapse that had gone unnoticed until the day before I left. Damage was done, necrotic tissue was evident and we knew what had to be done

. I did get to see the statue of liberty, the immigration museum, empire state building which was right down the block from the moldy loft we rented for the week. Saw trump tower, got tons of pics of the cool sculptures they had there. I don't know whats worse the hobos begging for change or the wild pigeons and other birds stealing food right off your plate. When you go into a deli for a sandwich be prepared to be screamed at by the owners to hurry up and get your order in so they can get the next guy out, no time to even look at what they have available. I didn't enjoy people pushing me off the sidewalk because I am not moving fast enough for them. My sister got cussed out by some dude selling bootleg sunglasses on the street. I had a hard time not knocking him into next week for that one.... We got mooned by some punk kid who tried to steal my subway pass on the subway... I could go on and on but I am sure you get the picture lol. I am soooo loving the people in mn and the traffic too! It was like fighting the crowds at the state fair on the street of NY, smelled like the fair too. We did have a good time despite all this tho, and I got some closure

Yep Bigb I feel the same way now. That was my very first big trip and my last. I do have to say tho the whole entire flock was soooooo depressed while I was gone not a peep out of anyone and they just laid around like they were never gonna see me again. The first thing I did when I got home was go out to the coop, i didn't make it half way across the patio before they saw me and all 36 of them made a b line right for their mama! I sat out there for hours, birds who never liked to be held before couldn't shuffle into my lap fast enough... It warmed my heart to see they didn't forget who I was

Heck I missed em so much (besides calling a few times a day) I wanted to sleep out in the coop with them that first night back.

Ya thats the other thing i just could not trust anyone to care for them the way i do ! and whos going to check on them ten times a day ! like i do . and cover them at night so they are safe . besides i get depressed with out them ! nope i'll just stay close to home so my baby's are safe.

I've just lost everything I had since my computer decided to crash on me last night... Right now I'm on a borrowed computer.

I've lost everything from pictures from years and years ago including my very first 4-H poultry show. I've lost 100s and 100s of pictures on all my birds even the ones that have passed on. My serama pictures from chick to adult are all gone. All my documents on who laid what each day is gone. I just feel like curling up and crying right now...

I would be devistated too if I lost all the pics and records I have kept over the years

I hope you can find a way to at least get some of the pics back, like the ones you may have posted on here? Maybe you sent pics to previous buyers and they kept them for their records? Gosh again I am so sorry for you
