Don't panic....sometimes materials can be retrieved from crashed computers (I know from experience). You need to talk to a professional. All is not lost.

Yes, that's what I was just about to say. Take your machine in to a professional -- it's very possible that they will be able to retrieve your pictures and other files.

Attack Chicken = don't give up hope. Do you have a Best Buy store around with their "computer geek" service? Maybe they could recover most of what you lost.

Do you back up any of your photos, records, articles ? I don't know how to do that but my brother and son always do, so they have another location for important things.

Maybe some computer experts will come on and help you? Start a new thread re: CHICKENS(photos) GONE - computer Crash - SOS!!

Hopefully they can get most of your stuff back and for the future, all you have to do to back up everything is put the cord into the backup and into your computer. It is extremely simple and then everything is stored on the other hard drive. We should back up like once a month, although I forget. It's easy and you won't have to go thru something like this. So sorry..........I can't even begin to think about it. I have over 5000 photos on my computer! Over i,000 of just chickens and I've only had them for a little over a year.

The computer tech at the school were my mother works at is going to look at it. He and her have been friends for many years and works on the computers that are at schools around here. It may take weeks but who knows if he can even get it back.

It would turn on and the Windows would load but then would go to a screen that had many restart options. Tried all of them, at first it would start loading then would flash to a blue screen with words (couldn't be read because it was quick) and then the computer would restart again and then just repeat. I really hope I get atleast some of the pictures back... I've already been crying over it (I know I'm a big baby right?) and just the other day I deleted a whole bunch of pictures on here because I was out of image space

Sorry about your comp. He can save it. My advice is to get an external hard drive. Walmart carries them. if you comp crashes smashed etc. Your external hard drive will have a your music pics vids everything that you want on it. I have put alot of them on my family and friends comps.
