I have a Banty Cochin and a Banty EE who labored very hard all night so that they could hatch my 4 Seramas for labor day for me. All 4 eggs hatched and I put them in the brooder in my kitchen because they are so small and I did not want them to get stepped as there were the 2 hens sitting in one box. Felt terrible taking them but also felt relieved that they were in a safe place. Sorry for the terrible photos but did not want to turn off the heat lamp. Better photos later.

Thanks.
The darkest one I think was last to hatch and it seems a little smaller but still strong. i think the photo and their positions are what is making them look so different. One of the yellow ones that I think was the first one hatched seems to be a little larger than the others. Time will tell!! I'm having 12 people for dinner and I am having a lot of trouble concentrating on what I'm doing.....LOL All I want to do is sit and watch them and the 2 week and a half old chicks right nest to them in another brooder. Also set 12 eggs due to hatch on the 16th. I think I'll try to control myself after that hatch. I cannot stop collecting their eggs and thinking there could be another little Serama in there.

Congrats Chicklette!!! That's so exciting to see them hatch. I gave back the incubator I was borrowing, and I don't have any broodies, so no more babies for me!!
Oh, BTW, my white pullet is laying now! I found a second egg in the nest today!
Ok Had to tell someone who would care, hubby doesn't understand the Serama world at all. But just went out to the chick bins( aka 200 gallon rubbermaid stock tanks), and went over the birds in it. Two white Serama male & female, some pretty whatever color they are?, wheatens, and yes one REAL chocolate pullet!!!!
Doing the happy chick dance here! These are 3 gens of our breeding, mom was a black that we bred & dad was the bird my son won at the Ohio National Serama Raffle table last fall.
