American serama thread!

Christine, if you want to breed and/or show you will want to be careful selecting your new birds. Serama (silkied, smooth or frizzled) should be vertical birds.
There is a lot of variety to choose from depending on what your goals are. Most important is to enjoy your birds!!

It is 60 degrees here in KY now and feels great. Good temperature to start getting them acclimated to the colder weather. I do have a heater in the coop so they should not have to be less than 40.

Yep, it topped 100 today. I came home at 1:00, and brought all my Seramas inside in the A/C. I let the layers out, and they crawled under the steps of the deck.

A few minutes ago, I look in my living room and see this....

Apparently my Buff Orp left the back yard, came around to the front door, pecked on it, and requested some A/C for herself.

I'm already buying some for my daughter from OC Seramas, but I can see how these little guys could be addicting! I started out wanting to get some LF Faverolles and Ameraucanas for myself and somehow ended up getting Seramas for my daughter.

I've always been a duck person, too.

i think i saw that pair at kate's the other day...

if it is that pair, congrats because that hen was gorgeous and the roo is amazing... really a stunning pair... but, i really wanted that hen... HAHAHAHA... your daughter is so lucky...
