Oh I do believe it will work.

My little OEGB would flog the back of the grandkids legs until I told them to give him an attitude adjustment! The first time I did it to him, the other chickens just looked at him. By the third time the hens ran over and pecked him as if to show him they were tired of his bullying ways.

After that he wasn't a problem.

Thank you! I was thinking I needed a standard size roo with some big family jewels to put casper in his place LOL! Now if only I could find someone close that has a big roo I can borrow.... Watched him go after one of my hens just a bit ago and I grabbed him and hung him on the clothes line for awhile (I kid) I did hang him upside down for awhile tho, soon as his feet hit the ground he went chasing after my special needs roo again! I just don't get it, he has been born and raised with the flock and has never been quite this bad, nothing has changed except adding a rescue duckling to which he doesn't bother

before going into serama "genetics" i would learn basic chicken genetics first... blue and dun work the same... dun gives you a type of chocolate... self blue works a different way, and true choc- gene works another way...

you can have a chocolate serama, but you can either have a dun/fawn dilute, or a choc dilute and they will look exactly the same...

I started 3 years ago with crap and have learned so much and am getting good with my breeding too. I thought I had crap birds till fair and now I feel pretty darn good about what I have, Im broke and hubby has no clue how much I have spent on birds. Im lucky that I have traded a load of birds so I have all colors, shapes and sizes now. Im working on whites now and need a sq little white roo. Either smooth or and silkie.Cant wait for next show to trade more...
