American serama thread!

Anybody else? At what age do your cockerels/pullets really start looking good?

My oldest birds are almost 8 months old. My pullet looks much better than she did 3 months ago at the June show. My cockerel (if he'd grow some doggone sickles) has definitely improved as well. But I keep seeing these 5-6 month old birds that make my jaw drop!!!

I have no idea on what to do with snow....or freaking hurricanes and tornados.... but I'd gladly leave CA if my hubby's job changed. I'm sick of all the stupid politics here.

No problems with regulations here in KY! However, I'm on a 250 acre horse farm so the horses do not care how much noise the roosters make or anything else. Love the freedom of living "in the country". Actually the weather here is pretty good........not a lot of extremes......an occasional tornado warning. I feel very safe here.

We'll work it out. There really are not a lot of Serama breeders around here........only one that I know of and have not seen his birds as of yet. Said he'd have some ready in the fall. Can't swap or trade or talk directly to any Serama people here. This will have to do. I guess Jerry S. is closer to me than you. That's a plus!

Well the reason I'm asking is I was at a Swap and commented on a OEGB and after I said "Cute Serama" I realized it was different from mine. I just would like to know what are some differences. I'm pretty sure mine are Serama's. I will get some pics up. Thanks!
