Mine are 9 months old, and they get better all of the time. Especially after they went broody the first time, the hens all stand with their tails up and tail feathers spread a little to show them off more often than they used to. Elvis is getting much better tail feathers in too.

We'll work it out. There really are not a lot of Serama breeders around here........only one that I know of and have not seen his birds as of yet. Said he'd have some ready in the fall. Can't swap or trade or talk directly to any Serama people here. This will have to do. I guess Jerry S. is closer to me than you. That's a plus!
Chicklette 1, there is one person in your area you can talk to with vast knowlege on serama, her name is Jesse (BluegrassSeramas is her screen name on byc) and she lives in Central Kentucky. As I recalled, she and her partner were the few created the frizzled serama back in the days. She is busy with school that is why we don't see her much on here, I have learned alot from her when I first started out.

Sorry, but I went to sleep before I read so many of these posts. The cost of living in KY. is lower than in other parts of the country and a lot of the jobs are horse related here and do not pay well. I have no idea about other types of work. I'm originally from the Chicago, IL. area but we have moved to the farm for the last 2 years and love it. Trying to sell our home up north. My chickens would not go over too big in the area in IL. where we lived!! LOL
