American serama thread!

Oh the pics of your birds are up! Very, very nice! Did you request a white frizzle? I just took what he gave me and I was pleased. Now you can hatch frizzles and smooths like I did and them go from there. Beautiful colors. These birds are amazing between their colors, size and temperament! Good luck with them.

chicklette you should go order yourself up a box from jerry . lol don't you need more seramas ?

I was wondering how you order the culls from Jerry? I am new to seramas, I went to the available page but don't see anything? Do you just send an email?

I emailed him ..he posted that the culls were avaiable on this thread a few days ago..............
I wonder if he has any idea the joy he spreads with his generosity.......

As I have mentioned..my husband is very ill. If only I could have gotten a pic with him holding Gershwin this morning
I think he has a new friend and that little guy just sat on his lap.
Ok going to cry again.........................
Off for the kleenex........................
Later

just email him and he will tell you where to send the shipping money . you don't get to choose but you see what he sends other's on here pretty decent birds for cull's but when you have the kind of birds he has only the very best make the cut . good luck .

Wow, this thread moves so fast....lol. Hopefully someone will see my post and give me some advice. I am posting pics of my birds here. From what I can tell, they are a bit on the large size. I love their color. What are your thoughts/opinions?

6 month old cockerel:

He hunkers down when I put him out on a table, I guess I need to handle him more. He seems to have a nice short back, and he carries his wings lower when he is in his cage with his girls.

6 month old pullet:

This one's back is too long IMO. Do you think the roo is nice enough to still use her as a breeder? She has the genetics. The next pic is of her sister. She has a very short back.

This one is my favorite. Very sweet and calm, already seems to pose. Still needs some training, but hopefully will make a nice hen.

Please help me out, I need lots of advice, I am a total newb here. Thanks guys/gals

Chicklette, you have sent me into a whole new world of..where can I put brooders???..............
Having way to much fun in my head..........

Moparagal,
I have not been around long enough be giving opinions about type..............but the pics are wonderful
and I would love to see what came from your breeding.............

Between my large plastic brooders and my rabbit and guinea pig cages, I have trouble finding any room to cook,.....so I just don't!! Just kidding........sort of. My husband says "just treat me like a chicken and I'll be happy".
