Today was day 3 of love fest with Mr. Turtle. He did not screech and squawk his head off when I picked him up today. He still cannot be trusted 100% and actually got away from me inone of the rooms, but at least, he is calming down a bit.

As much as I like to help everyone to get a good start here in SoCal buy giving good bird away for free, I came across this piece of trash that cause me to think twice when I help the next person. I did promise him a hen from my breeding pen to help him with his color project but then he turned around to to sell it right after he got her from me. What really got me mad is that he got the gut to contacted my friend a few times and demanded her to give him back his hen when I told him I loan the hen out to that friend...I told him he will get it back in a month, that is when our meet up in SoCal.

I decided to loan the hen out when I heard his neighbor were complaining about his chicken so the chance of him using this hen is less likely. This person has no shame when he walked up to me at the meet up to get his hen!!!!!

Beside my inner group of friends, I will not help any other person from now on!!!!!

Sorry everyone, I just have to get it out of my system other wise I will have to go

some sense into this person.

Congrats to everyone and their new birds!!! How fun!!

Bill- your chicks are awesome! I'm so glad things are working out for you now!

Czech- That is good news!! Keep up the good work!

My Serama flock multiplied quite quickly in the last couple months, I went from 2 to 10!

I hatched 4, and acquired 4 more. And there have been babysitting opportunities for others in between all of that! "Taylor", Cara's rooster, went home today to a new girlfriend

So happy for that little guy! He was an absolute joy to have here. His battle wounds have healed up quite nicely. He has an open ticket for retirement at my place anytime when he's done making positively fabulous babies for Cara.

PS. Cara, "Taylor" also enjoys action/adventure flicks in addition to his regular Animal Planet shows..... FYI....

You might need to get Netflix..... just sayin'.... sorry for spoiling him too much!

But he definitely has his confidence back.

And when you need diapers.... I have a line on that... LOL

I also found a good home for my bantam Phoenix rooster today (thanks to Cara), at a wonderful horse/cow ranch surrounded by citrus groves. Seriously, I would move there if I could! It was complete with donkeys and guinea fowl to keep all the predators out!

So now.... I am down to actually, my own permanent flock! Feels weird....

But the abandoned cat we rescued 12 days ago turned out to be pregnant, VERY pregnant, so kittens this week or next!

So sorry....

You are such a generous person. I totally understand how you feel.

I must say I was deeply saddened and disturbed by the situation.

joey at least she is in a home where you know she is safe and will be treated properly and kept clean and trimmed up where as the person you promised her showed neglect .... bright side bro bright side

Ah, I am ok now......no worry.

So, should I congratulate you on your cat being pregnant??? You will sure have your hands full when those kittens are born.
