Congrats to everyone and their new birds!!! How fun!!
Bill- your chicks are awesome! I'm so glad things are working out for you now!
Czech- That is good news!! Keep up the good work!
My Serama flock multiplied quite quickly in the last couple months, I went from 2 to 10!
I hatched 4, and acquired 4 more. And there have been babysitting opportunities for others in between all of that! "Taylor", Cara's rooster, went home today to a new girlfriend
So happy for that little guy! He was an absolute joy to have here. His battle wounds have healed up quite nicely. He has an open ticket for retirement at my place anytime when he's done making positively fabulous babies for Cara.
PS. Cara, "Taylor" also enjoys action/adventure flicks in addition to his regular Animal Planet shows..... FYI....
You might need to get Netflix..... just sayin'.... sorry for spoiling him too much!
But he definitely has his confidence back.
And when you need diapers.... I have a line on that... LOL
I also found a good home for my bantam Phoenix rooster today (
thanks to Cara), at a wonderful horse/cow ranch surrounded by citrus groves. Seriously, I would move there if I could! It was complete with donkeys and guinea fowl to keep all the predators out!
So now.... I am down to actually, my own permanent flock! Feels weird....
But the abandoned cat we rescued 12 days ago turned out to be pregnant, VERY pregnant, so kittens this week or next!
