American serama thread!

Hi all, This really isn't serama related but a nice happy ending story. When I went to the stables last night to tuck in my horse I found one of the baby barn chicks [approx. 1 month] sitting on the floor all by itself.....

I go searching for the Mama and its 3 siblings. Had to get a ladder to get the little one up in the rafters w/ mom......but I watched it snuggle up with mamma and she raised her wing for it. SO ADORABLE!

Made me feel so good inside......

Well i just got back from my son's class room we took 8 seramas in to share with his class and introduce seramas to them it was alot of fun and the kids ask a ton of ? my son did real well . and now the teacher wants us to bring them back to share with the whole school so looks like we will have a serama day at his school .

Ray, that is SO COOL! Start them youngins out early and you will have the whole school hooked on Serama-crack. You will open up your future market of buyers right there..........

ya i'm sitting here thinking about how i could put something toghter for a school assembly on chickens and take it to all the schools i currently have ten different breeds and i have friends who have a bunch of other breeds of course the seramas will be the stars of the show . have to talk to the wife whene she gets home see if she has any ideas she's a teacher in the district . i also want to do the special needs kids they just love the birds i took them in the special needs class this morning and this one boy who does'nt talk said a few words to the chickens it just made his whole world come alive it was pretty cool if i say so myself . i'll keep you all posted !
