SCNA leg band numbers are registered with SCNA to the person that bought them...they are to be put on at 8-10 weeks. They cost about .50 each...I raise so many birds I don't use permanent bands...Bands can be cut and removed (or added) at any time by anybody. I only use SCNA bands on the birds that I expect are going to be shown. I cut the band and slip it on after the bird has shown me that it is show worthy. Future SCNA bands will only come in size B (no more A's) Hopefully this will eliminate some bands being put on the make everything an 'A'. People using permanent bands still need to remember to keep the band ABOVE the spur as the spur grows in.

You can get inexpensive numbered and colored open bands for your personal identification purposes. They come in several sizes and can be changed as the bird grows. SCNA bands are ordered through SCNA around June or July...2012 bands have already been ordered...and will be sent out soon..there are sometimes leftover or bands not paid for that everybody scrambles for in the end. Jerry will announce it. The color of the SCNA band signifies the year to easily know the age of the bird from a distance. '08 gray..'09 white..'10 black..'11 yellow.

Got 2 more silkied seramas from Junebug and June I gotta say these are the best quality silkied seramas I have seen. This makes 4 from June and when I have room I will def. be back for more. Keep up the good work June. I love my serama girls !!

That little black/white one could win a show, but can't show ABA because she under the required size...could show her in SCNA with no bottom weight limit class.
