I don't know how the shipping works..I hope they are okay too. Where are they headed to? Maybe it will be warmer for them there.

I could be wrong about this, but I think different states have different laws regarding shipping live birds. Some might require you to be NPIP, possibly??? Maybe someone experienced in this could jump in here.

Brenda, from what I know of Jessie (Bluegrass Seramas), she could probably be a good help in determining the quality of your birds, and helping you find a market for them. If you belong to SCNA, you can also take some pictures and submit them to the virtual show too for "judging".

But seriously, if you can attend a Table Top show, whether you have birds to enter or not, you will learn VOLUMES just listening to the judges. Last June we had our first So Cal show, and I volunteered to be a points tabulator, I got to sit two seats away from the judge, and got to hear everything she said about each bird as they were being showed. It was SO educational.

Theyre goin to Texas but still not there. I got my birds tho

I have attended a tabletop show here in KY and will go to any that are close enough to Lexington. It was very informative and the judge was very kind and said I could ask any questions that I wanted to. This time of year, I guess there will not be too many more shows in this area but I will look for them. Thank you for the good advice.

Actually, it is nation-wide for birds. There are a few states that don't require NPIP for EGG shipments, but live birds are supposed to have been tested.

There are only a handful of shows in the state, but you could also go to shows in IN or OH. There's supposed to be one in Shelbyville this winter, I've heard January and February so I don't know which for sure. Then in the spring there's one in Shelbyville, one in Frankfort (I think), one in Morgantown (probably 4 hours from you), and another north of Glasgow. Then I believe there are 2 in the fall, unless someone starts a new one.

I've been trying to talk Larry into setting up a Serama-only show in this area. We wanted to do one this past summer but the 'Seramania' in IN kind of put a damper on us. I'll keep working on him
