And there were AI outbreaks in the eastern shore a few years back according to the lady at VDACS that I spoke with so I do understand the concern. North Carolina also has a big broiler industry and tough import standards; at least I'm not alone in my misery.
We have quite a few show quality chickens but it seems that all of the types/breeds I like aren't easily available. I DO have some serama eggs in the bator. I'm not going to suffer withdrawal or anything
, but I'd really like to find a good foundation breeding pair - which I haven't seen available anywhere here thus far. Sigh. I'm kinda stubborn
so maybe I'll find something...someday...somewhere...somehow.
