I prefer my Silkie bantams over my Cochin bantams as mamas. I can always count on the Silkies while the Cochins are sort of hit and miss... but whatever works.
Anyway I thought I would post pics of my first 3 Serama babies. All born the 4th of July. They didn't know what to think about being in the box they were in so I could take pictures. They stand more upright in their brooder, not like some of the chicks I've seen... but more then in the pics. If anyone has any ideas on colors let me know. Sorry these are kind of blurry, my camera wanted to focus on everything but the chicks and the chicks were constantly looking for the exit.
1st hatched and also the biggest. If I had to choose one that I thought was a cockerel it would be this one just by his attitude. He had a few black spots on his back but otherwise solid yellow when he hatched.

2nd hatched and the middle size of the 3. This one was solid yellow when born, it is hard to tell but the darker color on the wings is a red color.

3rd to hatch and my smallest. This one was solid yellow when hatched and the wings are solid white. What are the odds he will stay solid white? I hope it gets a little color somewhere lol.
