Hi all,
I feather sexed my lavender Americana as a pullet. Until recently I thought "she" was for sure a pullet. She's now 10 weeks old and the comb is looking pretty red to me. Thoughts anyone? Attached are some pics. Thanks ☺️

Post a pic and we can help you out!
Here is Jellybean - 6 going on 7w

Part of it is wishful thinking on my part - Jelly is a bully and has been in chicken jail after picking the head bloody of our Faverolle. Their temperament is definitely different than the other hens; they don’t back down from my cats and don’t care to be handled at all; different vocalization, but not what I’d call crowing..
So if it’s a rooster - rehoming is a no brainer (and required by ordinance).

Definitely a cockerel.

@Party_Chicken How do you know?! I do think neck feathers are more pointed than round. And comb seems pretty red. Tail feathers also pretty prominent, suggesting roo.
The comb is huge for his age. Tail feathers really can’t help until 12-16 weeks old. The behavior and aggressiveness is also pointing cockerel.
