He's a pretty boy! But nobody can tell you how often your cockerel will crow -- it's very individual. I think I'd have a backup plan, JIC.

Well, I don't know what the year has to do with it, but yes, it is very individual. I have some boys that crow their heads off throughout the day, and some that I never hear crow. My large fowl Ameraucana roo will crow in response to the other roos, but has never crowed while I was in his coop.

Also, some people keep their roos in the garage at night, so that when they get the urge to crow super early in the morning, it won't bother their neighbors.

My boys usually start crowing around 3-330am.
