My mentor is off racing ....

Does your mentor have the same kind of dogs as Meringue? I mean like all of them?
Or are they more like real Alaskan Husky with the longer coats and more Standing ears?
Where does she run? More sprinting as oppozed to distance?
cold weather areas?

She runs a mix of Alaskan Huskies. Meringue is a lot smaller then her dogs, even her siblings. She does distance races.

My news.
I'm starting to get better. or at least I thought so. So...I dragged trails yesterday just to have them blow in agian lastnight.
I took my 2 youngest dotrs and 1's beau to cut firewood and pile it beside trail. We started a fire and made tea and warmed our sandwiches. geez it was cold. -30*C. glad we had a fire. so now my neck hurts from the cold and my head is sore again and I'm coughing again.
Like that was'nt enough, then I went and dragged the trail past the woodpile and beyond....By 2 miles! Stupid, stubborn old man.lol
But the dogs will have a good workout when I feel better and more able to work.

Got my harnesses, snow hook & line, snub line, sled bag, and snow hook holder today!

I got it all set up and tomorrow my mentor is coming out to run dogs!

Did she come? did the both of you mush?

I have'nt been out yet. I'm still kinda house bound.
Something good happened though. A buddy dropped off about a 1/2 ton of fish and 10 boxes of heads&guts. 2moro I hope tp feel better and will seperate the fish and lay all of them on packed snow and cover with plywood anf then white tarps anf then cover the works with snow. If I'm smart about feeding it will last me till spring.
The puppies' eyes are starting to open. One of the Masked Blk/W has blue eyes. I could tell from the red reflection from the flashlight. Pipoon is protective of the but not agressive. She ust comes and pushes us away. Pretty soon though I wana post pix of them. aw they're so cute.
