Hi Blue. :frow How's things? Still have Meringue? Still training?

We still had really wintery weather here till 4 days ago. Kinda. I thought Spring had arrived but "April Fool"! It wasn't real cold. Bout -5 to -10*C during the day and occasionally as low as -18 to -20 at night. Cold enough to freeze the ponds and drainage ditches. So I took the sled out of the shed 1 more time and took Sparticus, Oreo, Angel & Keyno on a 3 mile. Aw, Angels 'Sibe' coat gave him plenty reason to pant pretty good but the other 3 were good. Actually Sparticus & Oreo looked like they were ready to go another 3... Or 5... Or 10??? So I figure Sparticus has 3, maybe 4 years of hard goin left in him& Oreo about 6 or 7. Keyno is 2 as is Angel so they got plenty of vinegar left in them. Has there been any development in regards to you taking these 4?
If it helps we might be able to meet you north of Plentywood & south of Regina at the confluence of the North Dakota, Montana, Saskatchewan borders. I figure by the pix you're somewhere in them mountains that side(west) so I might be able to get them(K9's) closer. Please keep in mind I say "might". I
f that happens though we won't be able to take the houses. Just the dogs. Oh ya, their collars, chains too. Also keep in mind that I would need lots of 'heads-up' time. Like 2 or 3 weeks anyways.
LMK ASAP. Thanks
Sadly, it doesn't look like I'll be able to get the dogs. We are currently in an awkward housing perdicunent. It may still be possible but probably not likely. I really appreciate you trying to help me out though!

OK young lady. They'll be here for a while longer anyways. Not goin anywhere any time soon.
Gee I hope your housing problem is rectified before any insurmountable problems occur.

Hey everyone, I have a bit of a predicament. My aunt's (not actual aunt but a friend-that-became-family) son is interested in a pup as a running partner as he is in the National Guard. The pup would have a great home with plenty of exercise, BUT it wouldn't be a mushing home, which is where I'd prefer the pups to go. This is because 1) I want to see what they are made of (was this a good cross? Would it be wise to breed the parents again? Etc...) 2) I want to get my name/lines out into the mushing community (if the pups turn out great, obviously I want people to know I was the breeder ((regardless of whether or not they are great dogs or not, I'm gonna let people know I was the breeder)) 3) a working breed should go to a working home, right? (Dogs need to become sled dogs should be just that). SO my question is, should I politely let him down, saying that they should go to mushing homes? Or entertain the idea of this possibility and then what if the pup ends up needing more exercise or is too wild to be a running partner?

Id inform him that the dog would not be old enough to be a running buddy until it's a year is old. But other wise I think as long as he keeps him on a chain or leash or something when unattended it'll be s great match :)

They make great running partners. I know plenty of mushers who take their dogs running in the off season.

If he wanted to, the whole running might be easier if he uses a belt and harness

Long time away. Hi everyone. I trust all is tolerable with each of you. Life is a wonderful experience. Perhaps not as we would wish(I wish I would win $50million) but it is in itself an experience filled with wonder oid events.
I am a stickler in that"My K9's are sled dogs". I personally dislike the idea my sled dogs may end up neutered/spayed, crated, apartment dwelling, couch potato eating fresh carrot sticks, celery bits, wieners, walnuts, raisins, amongst other carnivore food.
True, my K9's aren't afforded the luxury of being house dogs and they are tethered on chains that restrict their roaming. Upside, my K9's are climatized to the great "very little to absolutely no regard for the frail ego"outdoors, and they ain't running around eating dirty diapers, used feminine products and road kill or drinking from sewage lagoons, barnyard pee puddles or. dishes of antifreeze left out specifically targeting " stray dogs".
I tell people "If I ever see this dog(the one or more they are acquiring from me)I will without question or favour bring it back to my place and no refund."

Good-on-ya. All y'all:)
