I'm planning for next season; races, what days to train at what mileage, etc.
Well my parents are closer to letting me get more dogs. I've gotten to knowsome new mushers and I've been told what type of dog I should try to breed Meringue too. In fact my friend said she would buy one from me if I get a stud like she suggested.

Awesome!

It's waaaay to hot to be training but I am training Hank to be my Anxiety alert dog!
Oh I've wanted to train Cindy to do that for me but I have no idea how to get started. Any tips?

That sounds interesting, :) how do you do that? Train him to detect your anxiety, I mean...

That's great! Are you planning to run any races this season? (I'd assume you'd have to borrow some dogs...)

First I taught him to target( where he pawed a lid) then after he got that
I added the command Alert. After he got that
I did the actuon( scratching/passing ever..) with the command alert
Then after that you take the command away
The bigger the bond the better. After he learns how to interrupt the actions I'll teach him deep pressure therapy

So much to say so little time and space right now.
Still 22 dogs, 18 sled dogs and 4 adoptees. Or more rather all sled dogs but 18 Spitz(Sibe, Qimmiq, Mal, DeneDog(Tsi)) & 2 flop eared,short haired Racers & 2 Spitz X ??.
Nice to read new news. "redundancy" there.lol
Glad y'all are OK.
Me too.
Old saying is"No rest for the wicked".
If it's really true I must be the wickedest curse this side of H-E- double hockey sticks.
Gota go. Feeding time.
TTFN Luv y'all

what time do you usually feed your dogs at?

I want to do Eagle Cap Extreme and maybe another. (Yup)

Nice! Hopefully you can do a few others... Maybe some over my way some more.... ;)

That's sounds really cool, keep us updated on how he does. I think service dog training is really interesting (I have a diabetic friend who I think is training her beagle pup to detect her blood sugar levels).

Good to hear, not so much that you are so busy, but I feel yah. I work for a boat rental company (we live near a big lake, it's basically a tourist town) and we were super busy over Independence Day; after like 5 days working 12+ hours/day, I'm ready to sleep for a week. Anyways, that's good to hear. DeneDog (Tsi)? Am I forgetting something? Remind me what that's means...
