thankfully i already know about the whole feeding and introducing new food thing and the milk thing. i have been feeding the same food as the shelter so i know it is not the food. that is why i am thinking it is some sort of a virus. last wedneseday they gave me metro and sulfa mixed together i had to give it to him twice a day for a week. this morning was his last dose of it and so far the diarrhea has disappeared and he seems to be feeling better he is not the same puppy as before when i first got him. he is so playful and active now. when i picked him out he was in the back of the cage sleeping and then when i brought him home that is all he ever seemed to do, sleep. i know puppies sleep a lot, but he was sleeping way more than any puppy i had ever had so i am hoping that whatever was causing the diarrhea has disappeared. i have to take him tomorrow for an injection because i noticed he had mange on his ears and tail along with impetigo on his stomach which i have been treating with peroxide. funny thing is is that the vet tried to blame the impetigo on me asking if i let him sleep in his pee...i told the vet he came home with it and that seemed to shut him up. also i have no idea what the vet has been thinking he has. every time i go i forget to ask i am usually trying to remember the instructions for the medicine, but i will try to remember friday.

Is there a height that's that you'd consider to "short" for mushing? For the dogs that is? Lol

Hey! Haven't read the whole thread yet, just started and barely scratched the surface actually lol, but I just foumd this thread last night and thought it was cool and that maybe join. I don't mush or anything but it's something I've always thought was cool and thought about off and on and might like to try eventually. Heck, I even thought about skijoring or bikejoring LOL I just love all animals really. Maybe one day I can try mushing

Thanks! Maybe I can try it or real mushing eventually. I wanted to try it with my dog but I think he'd be too lazy plus he has bad hip :/ but even if he didn't I don't think I'd trust him pulling me LOL

im sorry i never got back to you. i did bring him to the vet last friday and again this friday. last friday i kind of got mad at the vet because he has(or had) impetigo and every time i brought it up they would sort of brush me off and give me an excuse asking if i let him sleep in his pee or say that it is from the mange or say it is from fleas or so on and well i got a bit angry at him for not giving me any treatments for the impetigo because it just had kept spreading all over and then to his ears. he had only now given him treatment for it when i got mad at him and that had made me forget to even ask about anything. he had coccidiosis last friday when i had gone and they gave me albon for it. they had also given me albon when i had first gotten him with the diarrhea so i can only guess that maybe he had that from the very beginning. then this friday i chose not to go to the vet with him and had my mother in law do it for me because i came to the conclusion that it is probably best to avoid getting into another argument with the vet. after he gets neutered i will most likely find a new vet. he has to get more vaccines in two weeks. when my mother in law brings him for me i will do my best to remember to ask her to ask them what it was that he had. i promise im not trying to avoid asking them it is just that things had happened and forgot to ask them.

It's starting to get colder which means fall then winter is coming I'm more excited for fall but for you guys, winter is probably most exciting ha

Please know that I think a cruel irony that Dog is God spelled backwards and dogs display far more unconditional love than we humans do.
That said I completely understand if you don't wanna be called Dog.
Funny thing is where I live I am known as Dog Man. I usedto display friendliness, love, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, (more...), in short, the good qualities my K9's display. I think it may be an thing. as is having a tendency to ya mer on....

I wanna try skijoring this winter(coming soon )
Mind you with just a cpl K9's I may need to take some firepower as back-up.
One of my oldest friends just landed in the hospital. She got chewed up by a cpl of Sheps that she was attempting to shoo away from her deck where her little house dogs were getting fresh air. In the scuffle she also busted her backbone. So ... Ya! May need some back-up if. Ppl don't wanna contain their animal buddies.
