Hi every one. ive been so busy with feasts and pre wedding social events and pf the regular stuff like gardens, chores AND MUSHING PREPERATIONS
So time to read ad respond, read and respond.......
There is no "Labrador Husky". The word "husky" is generic term for all the northern spitz breeds. It contains all the sled dogs and the hunting spitzes such as Laika and even the ElkHound.
The word "husky" is in reality an English bastardization and mispronunciation of the word Chuckchi, the name of the tribe and far eastern Siberian peninsula where they lived. Which is also from whence the "Siberian Husky" originated.
I believe the dog you may be wrongfully referring to is a Qimmiq. Yes indeed the now secluded(government implemented plan) Labrador strain that is genitically a full brother to the wrongfully named Gronlandshund, and the wrongfully named Canadoan Eskimo Dog.
Please consider these dogs are all genetically the same dog, or at least up until government policies stepped in with borders and licensing.
The people we now refer to as Inuit were and are the people that originated this wonderful specimen of k9 to the world. What their proper name is
Qimmq.
Also, if you do your research you will find the Cdn Government sanctioned an ordinance for " kill on site site all Indian village dogs because they are a savage and unpredictable breed and are a threat to the people. They also carry many diseases that can affect our much better quality European dogs of good breedings."
This was merely a ply to rob the people of independence and to contain them. They were easy to control when they were huddled, starving in settlements as opposed to being independent, out on the land with their dog teams.
Even if you do research you will find a lot of the material is kinda like that one that Americano Blue gave us the link correct me here if I'm wrong"Sled Dog Rescue". Most of that is just sensationalized, outdated, hearsay and bald-faced
Iies. Oh yeah, and really sharp editing. Not unlike a lot of the research you will find.
Lets put it this way. I am a wise old Kung fu master. I know 1001 moves. If I always want power over you would I teach you all 1001 moves?
I know quite some history regarding preColumbian paleoAmerican K9. It's not as a lot of historical documentation would like you to believe.
To me what's written in stone is the old stories I've been told which are backed-up by what I've witnessed with my own eyes. A biting K9 doesn't get a second chance. He doesn't go for Behavioural ModificationTherapy. He/she has never a chance to pass on that genetic propensity. A lazy K9 does not get BMT. A stubborn K9 does not get the chance to perpetuate his/her behaviour. A mis-formed K9 is not afforded the chance populate the world with mis-formed K9's. Only healthy, friendly, loyal, hardworking, intelligent and willing to learn dogs get the chance to pass on their genetics. This is the Qimmig.....1 of only 6 from 112 true paleoAmerican K9 breeds left in this world. Qimmiq, of which the "Gronlandshund" and "Labrador Husky" both belong.
Another thought to consider regarding "Labrador Husky" ..it never ever had blue eyes. We've found these blue-eyed K9's get snow blind easy.

musher says "This wise Kungfu master is showing us that far too many people write without actually being there and doing it."
Theoretically I can father well over 200,000,000 children a day. Two hundred million. I'm 56 years old, been married for 24 of them years and only genitcally fathered 5 children( I adopted my oldest son). That's a huge discrepancy.
So in closing on this thought process.
No such thing as a genetic "Labrador Husky" and the K9 wrongfully referred to as " Labrador Husky" never had blue eyes.
