She looks a lot like Rowdy! Whoever named Ninja is awesome. I am only about 3 hours away from where Race To The Sky is held each year so maybe I will get to go. The Iditarod will have to wait until I'm old enough to live my myself, sadly.

Haha maybe I will see you at Race to the Sky, If i can get the plane $$ lol. Know whats funny? MY friend has a dog named Rowdy!

This is such a cool thread. I really enjoy spoutong mushing here. Aint many people where I live that mush so not many to talk to. All the old mushers have taken that last and most glorious sled ride.
I wish there were guys interested in mushing here(on this thread)though. Seems to me most guys are too worried about getting a job so they can buy a car or truck then attract a gal then keep working so they can buy a house for the gal they wanna attract .

I was 31 when I met my wife. I already had everything needed in a home. Except my home was just a 13X13 cabin with a loft. Nice view from the top of that hill though. Maybe I'll build a retirement home up ther one day and raise Qimmiq, Appaloosa horses, buffalo and all kinds of birds.
Oh my, just rambling here. I'm such a nerd, HA! Old nerd!:lau

Anyway.....Who-ever wants to use those names.... I'm cool with it. I wouldn't have put them here if I didn't want anyone using them. Just make sure you remember the meaning and tell people if they ask about it/them.
I even have some Inuktitut(politically correct name for Eskimo)words for names. My adopted son is from Baker Lake, Nunavut and he remembers his language.
So if anyone wants an Inuktitut or Cree name for your dog/s just tell me the English version and I will do my best to go get them translated for you.
Gee. I just looked at the clock. It's 12:50 here. G-nyt.

I'm sorry young lady. I cant really help you just there. :idunno
I don't even know what those names mean in English. I think Levi is kinda like a low man made dike along a watercourse. But I don't know for sure.
So I ain't even gona try translate it because I could be horribly wrong.

In these languages there are nuances, some very subtle, that could totally change the meaning. They are both very precise...very exact. That's why I stated that every word tells a story.
Tell you what,, I'll leave it up to you to do the research and once you do, share the story of that name on this thread and then I will do my best to find it in Cree or Inuktitut .
Deal?
NOTE. I usually charge nothing less than $500.00 for an hour and up to $1200.00 for a full day for this service at educational facilities but this is different. You guys are my kinda people. Y'all are my mushing family.
