Good. Doing your homework always helps pave the road.....

Which is funny. Cuz I did the whole making the list, and all that, when I want this male weinner dog earlier this year. I almost got a yes, but then they sold him. So I'm hoping it works this time!

We had 5dogs as we do now in the house. So we will see. :)
Mom also said that she's having a hard time Christmas shooing for me. :)

I think Dad wants dogs that have a job (ie. sled dogs) and somewhat pay for themselves. We have a collie/heeler cross we use to help chase horses/cows but he wasn't taught properly so he's not the best at it, we've got a lab trained for bird hunting but we rarely go bird hunting. The last one, lab/dane cross was a rescue and doesn't have a job.
:thud 68?!?! My parents would kill me if I ever had that many! How many dogs do you have now? How did you remember who was who? Lol

I only have 16 rightnow. 4 Racers(like EuroHounds) & 12 mixed northern breeds/mostly Sibe. They're all good animals. They get treated pretty good.1 of my friends said "You treat them better and feed them than most people." and I answered him real quick,"Yes I most certainly do. They treat me better than people do. And they work a heck of a lot harder than most people I've ever met too. Lets go for a ride and get some firewood."
LOL He saw what I meant and was practically singing praises.
But yeah, 68 dogs was A LOT of work and low pay. I couldn't keep up with the bills.
My business plan proved to be a very lofty one that sadly wasn't destined for the greatness I had hoped for.
So I sold most of them, nave away a few, and kept 20. Way easier. The fall of 2013 and the following winter and spring saw me lose 10 to old age and/or sickness. I bought Rex and Max and friend gave me 4 dropped Racers.

i have to keep telling myself," no matter how many races you are doing, no matter if you doing tours or what ever, you can not have more then 26 dogs. "

You will LMK if it works put right?

I don't think I could stand 1 dog in the house never-mind 5.

I think most of us are having a hard time Christmas shopping.

I don't even really like Christmas anymore. It's become so freakish commercialized. Everybody whining about what they want then whining about what they didn't get!!! In my eyes, it looks like everybody acts like a buncha spoiled brats.
I like the kind of Christmas that brings everyone together and sing, and eat, and laugh, and hug, and tell each other "I love you" and watch the little kids be mesmerized by the tree and the lights, skating on the pond, then drinking hot chocolate, sharing our toys and food with the less fortunate kids and families. That's more like Christmas to me.
It may be a little more work but quite a bit cheaper and more "family".

I think that is a very wise way to think. Especially now-a-days.
Keeping a lot of dogs can be done.....if we are extremely committed to do the work. Equation..more dogs=more work.
5 dogs will eat 5 fish weighing 4lbs each, 20 dogs well eat 80 lbs of fish. 100 dogs=400lbs of fish everyday

I`m trying to find someone who can hunt deer/elk for me. I know a butcher who, if i ask, will probably give me the scraps for a good price. Im also starting to fish this spring

I would say 16 is much easier to care for than 68. Someday you'll have to post pictures of them all. Probably a smart idea to minimize the amount of dogs you had though, way too expensive. :/ 16 seems like a manageable number.

Good idea. Just outta curiosity, why 26?

I agree. I think the whole present thing was introduced by some king way back then to make the people he ruled like him more so he gave them gifts or something like that. "Christmas" literally means "The mass of Christ" not "Give presents to people who really don't need it" like most people now days think. I like your version of Christmas better than some other people's versions.

Okay, so I told my mom I wanted to learn how to mush for my birthday and then like 15 mins later, she's on the computer looking at phones! In my head I'm like "Where, in that whole conversation, did you hear the word 'PHONE' ?!" She's like "What about this one?" And I just walked back to the kitchen like *facepalm* and did the dishes. Does 'phone' sound anything like 'mush' or 'dog' to any of you? 'Cause it don't to me. :/
