Fox is the one a I really want. Him and Kili.

Those would be my first 3 picks for the build and overall generally genetically robust appearance. They look like the old DeneDogs i usta see when I was younger. maybe these ones' tails are a bit longer...and curlier. If my memory serves me correctly the old style dogs had straighter tails and they were black tipped like a wolf.
Tala & Ista are just pretty, & different.

Cool!!

I didn't know that about the red Sibes. Cool. Yes, much better than drugs/alcohol/ect. A race would be cool. I'd want to put one on but I wouldn't even know where to begin. Lol coming would be fun except you're like 1,300 miles away from me.... :/

1300 miles phew.
That's a trip and a half. I travelled from Nelson House, Manitoba to Phoenix, Arizona & back one time, about 20 years ago. I traveled from Wpg., Manitoba to My Hood, Oregon and back one time. Another time from Wpg. to St.Paul to Chicago to Toronto and then home to where I live now.
But I have a hard time traveling now. My back can no longer take the sitting and getting jarred and jousted about. Even when I ride my bike I gota stop every 1/2-1 hr to stretch and walk around for a bit.
That's one reason I stay home most f the time and keep as active as I can.
On that note, I fell today when I was cutting down "standing dead" & "firekill" trees for firewood. Knocked my helmet off just about knocking me out and somehow hurt my shoulder. I can hardly lift it now and I still gota go feed & after the dogs.
What bugs me most rightnow is my reduced mobility. I'll not be able to mush for a cpl days.
Oh well, so to coin a phrase, "Life's struggles"
Wuchagonadoo?:idunno

I'd be willing to but I don't my family would lol.

Oh yeah, I'm ready. Lol Though, if it's being like a parent, everybody says you're never completly ready to be one. For the emotional part, I've got my close friends and family to help me out. Money wise, my parents can support me if it gets too tough. Plus I raise a market animal for 4-H and this year I'm raising a steer so when I sell him that'll be around $3,000 or more. Knowledge, well, I have done tons and tons of research and just about everything else has to be learned by experience. Then I've got you guys and the teacher at my school. If all else fails, I got Google. I am plenty active. When we were in Boise, ID (friends and family there) we went to the fair. There was a Marine Core booth (you know, the one for the military) and they let people see if they are strong/fit enough to pass (push ups, sit-ups, pull ups, planking, ect). I passed the women's division with flying colors and the men's was a little challenging but passable. Plus there is PE where we run the mile every week and I'm always in the 7-8 min range. When we don't run the mile, we run half a mile just for a warm up. Then stretches and whatever game/activity is planned for that day. Strength isn't an issue, I can't beat like 80% of the boys in my grade (about 160 boys and girls) in arm wrestling. Now I feel like I'm bragging  but the point is, I'm ready. Being a dog or wolf in a previous life would be cool. I've always wondered if I was some rich and famous person in a previous life. Or an animal. I was always taught that loved ones that pass away turn into humming birds and often will come visit you to see if you're doing okay. Then they go to heaven but are sometimes sent back as Angels and turn into animals to help people. But that's just my belief. :idunno

Good. I'm kinda jealous. I didn't settle into mushing for the love of it till just a few years ago.
Actually I guess that's a lie. I've always loved the idea of it for more rec as opposed to work.
It's just that now I appreciate the viability and merit of the working aspect of it.
Anyhow, why I say I'm jealous is your so young and already know this is what you want and you have the support.
Even today I still do most of what I do, all by myself. Just me and the Almighty on my side.
Bin like that pretty well all m life.
If you ( or anyone else for that matter) are ready to accept that you may be doing it totally on your own with only The Almighty to help then you are already ahead of the game.
Life is a 4 letter word. It starts with W.
apparently our belief systems have similarities. Cool.

I'd be willing to but I don't my family would lol.

I'd also like to travell to more races. Even if it's just to be there. I don't necessarily need or even want to compete.
Shoot! Lied again. I'd love to compete.
It's just that my dogs are freighters not racers and I like it that way.
One of my dreams is to stage a race on my grandfathers old HBC frieghting route. I think it's about 1500miles.
It will be the most gruelling race of all races. Not so much because of length but more because of load. Everyone would be required to have at least 750lbs on their sled at every checkpoint. Maybe as much as 1000.
Anyhow the race here that I've been discussing with some people would most likely still be "on" when you are old enough to make it here on your own. Needless to say you'd be staying with me and my family.
It ain't the Hilton (HA,) but there's room aplenty for you and your team and gear.

Meringue's grandma did a stage race once. She has some nice blood lines but hasn't raced....yet
