Oh, I think he'd be OK for distance, just not real fast.Darn it, I wanted him for distance. He's fixed witch is good for me since I wouldn't want him for Meringue.
Not totally sure how much, haven't talked with the owners yet because I wasn't sure if he would be worth my time convincing parents and than driving.
You never know though. Looks can be decieving. A wolf can run for 5 hrs @ a lope of 20mph. That's a hundred miles.
oooo! T'would be simply lovely to have a team of 10. The iditarod would be yours anytime you wanted it. Feed them a 5lb fish and water at lunch time and leave at midnight...5or 6 the next morn, stop..feed them a 2 lb fish and water, rest..11 days of that and the Iditarod is done.
A wolf wont travel on a full stomach, especially hard, unless it's taking food back to the pups. People just thought them to be lazy because we didnt know.
A wolf has more sense than a dog that way. It's almost like he thinks"You dang fool human. You can kill me if you want, stranding yourself out here with no sled pulling power but I sure as heck aint gona commit suicide with "twisted gut" to please you".
Did anyone else notice this dog has a black tipped tail? not white. Why is that?
