A good rule of thumb is that if you got your chicks at a hatchery or feed store, you've bought yourself cute EEs. Ameraucanas come from breeders.

Here is a picture of our 5 month old pullet. Is this an EE or an Americauna? We are also nervous that we may have gotten a male rather than a female. Any thoughts?

The colors are black, wheaten, blue wheaten, blue, white, silver, buff, and brown red.

I think we need to come up with a better name than Easter Egger. After all, many of the breeds began as hybrids. Why can't they be "Americaunas" with an "i"? I ordered Ameraucanas and the packing list said, EE.
