Americauna rooster and ISA hens

So 8 months later and we got all brown egg layer from ISA and americauna.
If your rooster was a purebred ameraucana you should’ve gotten at least some green egg layers out of it. If your ameraucana was actually an Easter Egger, there’s no way of knowing if he carried the gene for blue or green eggs. If he was an Easter Egger he may have only carried one of the genes so quite possible the offspring produced from the cross with the ISA browns would also produce brown egg layers!
Hope this makes sense! Belated welcome to BYC!😊

Yes understood, that's what I thought when all our hens started laying brown eggs. Very interesting though.

Super belated but hi!! :) glad you kept this updated with your results. So, you have a cross breed? Any pictures? :)
Pardon for the blurry pictures. That's generally the colour I got.
The roosters, now gone, came out similar colour except one that was completely orange.
