I forgot to respond. A belated thank you for the Christmas wishes!
Here are a couple pullets I hatched verrry late summer!

Don't mind the frozen beard.

Of course their pen is dirty because it seems like that's the only time I can get a decent picture. But it's clean now, honest.

Fertiltiy is up to 40 percent. Which isn't great, but d'Anvers males are seasonal breeders. It used to be 0 percent so fertility is on the rise. They're coming back into their fertile season. Soon, I expect most of the eggs will be fertile.

Three d'Anvers hatched! No pictures I'm afraid, but I'm happy that patience paid off here!

I guess those will be the last pictures of my favorite chicken, Queeny, because mom informed me she has died at almost 5 years old. It came as a surprise to me because she was acting healthy and laying eggs last I saw her but we can't really know what happens with these sudden passings.
