Ammonia keeps rodents, oppossums, and other pests away from my Iron Coop!

It keeps them away from my coop but I like to let them free range when I am outsize to keep hawks from getting my rare breed

Keeping hawks at bay is not all that easy. Netting over a garden area or letting them out while supervising them is about the only way to stop the hawks. Possibly a good rooster or Llama for protection.

Ammonia fumes are quite toxic to birds, you may not want them too close to your coop.

Ammonia fumes would keep me away from the coop also.
