Amprol liquid dosage confirmation

Hi, I’ve got my amprol 9.6%, and wanted to confirm the dosage for water... I am treating a fairly bad coccidiosis outbreak for the first time. I’ve read a few different conflicting dosages here. My vet recommends 2ml/gallon of water for 2 weeks. Does this sound correct?

No, that is not correct. The correct amount is 10 ml per gallon for 5-7 days, then 2.5 ml per gallon for 7-14 days.

Not sure where you vet got that dose from.

The dosage for a severe outbreak in chickens is 10 ml per gallon for 5-7 days. Glad you finally got it.

For those not drinking enough water you can give them undiluted orally 0.1 ml per pound of body weight. This can be done in addition to the medicated water.

Not going to give them any wet feed until this is under control! Since I got them out and moving on grass the bloody droppings have started to reduce... there were only 3-4 last night. Two are looking a little lethargic, but everyone drank from the waterer as soon as I brought it back in to them.

I have to get them back into their tractor today once I weigh it down a bit more, they overnighted in my barn last night due to a windstorm which resulted in a flying tractor! Made checking the poops easier though!

The dose I posted is the correct dose for *all* 9.6% products in the US and Canada.

You can wet the feed with Corid treated water if they like wet feed.

That’s good to know! My littles go crazy for their wet feed... wasn’t looking forward to depriving them of it! My 9 week olds, not so much anymore...
