An Angel's purpose

As they fought off the rest, only one man stood. Sky grinned insanely and shot her hand forward, the blade catching his heart. Stripped of his life, it was like slow motion. He fell, heart no longer beating, and Sky stood there in his place. Her silhouette was harshly illuminated by the moonlight, casting shadows across the concrete. You can only imagine how awe-struck the people felt in this moment. They were saved by an assassin, a true warrior. She was standing there, hood hiding her face and cloak snapping in the wind. The gauntlet blades flicked back and were hidden among the gauntlets again. The people walked forward in awe and were murmuring "Ezio... Black-Wing... Thank you..."

Sky sighed, sliding her Tomahawk back inside the pocket of her jacket. "It started with my father. He was what they call an Assassin. There used to be a lot of them. But... they were killed." Sky sighed. "Only my father, who's name I cannot say now, Altair, Connor, Desmond, and Edward remained. They each had one child who they were training to be Assassins. You remember Lady Red? The woman with the red hair? She inherited the name Desmond and is now an Assassin. Ciel Phantomhive inherited the name Altair. Lau to Connor. And Sebastian? He's Diablo. Just Diablo. No one remembers why he chose the name, either. I don't remember." Sky sighed, stopping. She yanked her hood back, revealing her face and running her gloved hands through her hair. She flipped the hood forward again and gave a sigh. "And, like them, I inherited my father's name and that town back there. That little town... was where I was born. They were my father's people. But now they are my people. And EVERYONE knows my name. My true name. I wish I could say it, but I can't. Too risky with the angels around..."

"So, why are they called an assassin?"

"It was my father, Altair, Connor, Desmond, Edward and their kin versus the red-coats and their kin. It's continued on for many years. Our fathers decided to name ourselves the Assassins because that's what they were and what we are."
