out of the 6 eggs that i collected this week from my new girls 4 of those eggs were DOUBLES. That's great for the fry pan but what about for hatching? do chicks hatch from doubles or what happens...?[IMG]

It can happen, there is a thread somewhere about it, but they normally (99.9%) of the time don't hatch.

Glad you found your answer. They lay crazy when they first start. I had one yesterday as big as a bantam egg. [IMG] I bet that hurt! [IMG]

Quote:Well said! They will crank out the little M&M size eggs, the ever popular, shell less egg, then the mega-monster double yolk egg that just leaves you scratching your head wondering how the heck that monster egg came out of that little bird.

They do settle down with some age on them [IMG]
