An Introduction from south Florida

I have never raised Cornish X, but yours look like they would be great as meat birds. That is, if you wanted to do that. It's not something I can do, because I'm a wimp. I'm way too attached to my chickens. But, I'm envious of people who do because they know exactly where their food is coming from and what went into it.

I think we had A miracle happened today LOL I collected eggs got to duck eggs one small egg from the black Cornish, one tiny egg from the silky, and then I see the most enormous egg I’ve ever seen in my life, It happens to have come from the white Cornish meat bird who usually lays a normal size chicken egg. I couldn’t believe my eyes, when I hold the egg in my hand it spans the entire width of my hand. Photo attached, the egg on the left is the chicken egg, the egg on the right is a duck egg which is big to begin with. The egg will not even fit into an egg carton 🤣
I’m not even sure how this is possible LOL 😆.
