An unusual simultaneous hatching!!!

Wow pretty birds , what do you do with all the birds in the winter? do you keep them as a hobby, or do you breed for income, Wow just wow, those are so pretty,!!!

Just to conclude the story but the baby Macaws are now almost weaned and have been put into a flight cage for exercise and social interaction to prevent them imprinting. Today is their first day in an outdoor flight and they're loving the sunshine. They're 4 months old now and almost fully independent

Thank you Kuntrygirl but when they were first hatched everyone thought they were so ugly for weeks and looked like little old men

Very Cool Pete!
I have a Blue and Gold Macaw, she is now 22 years old, and has laid since she was 12. I have not ever gotten her a mate, and probably won't.
she was hand raised and had a buddy when she was young but he was an African Gray so she talks a lot but doesn't really like other birds...
She only likes me, so I'm hoping to build her a nice flight cage some day so she can at least go have some fun... she hangs in her cage and talks, that is about it... sometimes she walks around and stalks the dogs... LOL... that.is.a.hoot!!!
Yours looks so well adjusted and healthy!
wish I could have such a lovely facility!
thanks for sharing!

22 years old??????? WOW!!! That is awesome! Sounds like she is VERY well cared for to be 22 years old. Good job!

Well Kuntrygirl... she ought to have another 50-60 years with us... maybe even up to 80 more! B&G Macaws live as long as humans... unfortunately she hates my kids... so not sure what I will 'do' with her... I'm 49 now... so she will outlive me for sure!
