That's unfortunate. It is much better to have the owner hold the chicken because the chicken owner gets the dose maybe once. The vet tech could be holding animals all day long and accumulate a lot of dose. Same goes for kids. The parents should do the holding. You can probably tell I have a background in radiation protection.
