your chick has a white earlobe, so not an Australorp.Do you have pics? I was thinking out of the breeds the lady had that my best assumption is wfbs.
I do think the other dark pullet next to her in the group pic might be an australorp though!
My 2 Ancona are not good "mixed flock" girls. They mount the others and pull the neck and head feathers out of the Easter Eggers and Faverolles. They might be OK as a single breed flock bird but I wouldn't get them again for a mixed flock.I only have one Ancona and she is the boss in my hen house. She does fight occasionally with my Roo and with some of the hens trying to lay an egg. Does anyone else have this issue?
After looking into it some more and looking at how she looks now, I think the one I thought was an Ancona is a WFBS. However the other one I am still not convinced that she isn't a BA. Looking through pictures on BYC it seems that some BA's have a fully black beak, while others have beaks that are only partially black. Hers is mostly black. The only other breed that she could be (from the breeds the woman had) is a BM, which most of them seem to have the black beaks as well, also she still has a few feathers with white on them and all of the BM's I looked at pictures of were pure black. Plus the BM's also seem to have white ear lobes, hers are pink.Nope. Not an Ancona and I don't think the other is a BA. Here are pictures of mine at ~ 3 weeks:BA. Note the black beak.
Note the Ancona's black and white feathers, ALL yellow beak, yellow feet (and unseen, legs). (With Red Pyle Cubalaya) At 2 Months:
