looking for any Ancona ducklings str. Had ordered them im may nut they had been pushed forward 3 times. Plz help me thanks

Have you tried Boondockers? I got Ancona from them a few months ago, and they are doing great!

I got some from this place last year and was VERY happy with them
Cackle hatchery also has them but they only have black and white and will send an occasional chocolate and white

They are local to me in Portland, not sure where you are from, but they ship them as well. If you happen to be in Oregon, they have them at the farmers market this weekend half off! I'm going to pick up a couple myself.

It irks me to think they were selling half-price ducks to you lucky Oregonians when I can recall reading about their problems shipping orders last year...and the year before that...and this year. Gah.

This irks me too. I have had an order in sincre June and they keep telling me they have hatching problems and maybe the next week, or the next, or the next. I even left them a phone message yesterday asking them if there was any chance of getting them shipped this year. No answer yet. The haven't charged me yet, so I believe that they are having their difficulties, but how come they have enough to go to a farmer's market, and not enough to ship? I feel so frustrated.

Beware! They admitted to those of us on the ancona facebook group that they are breeding magpies with their anconas this year. They wouldn't answer when we asked if they are selling the crosses as pure anconas which isn't a good sign in my mind! They believe that they are creating "true, better marked anconas" by mixing them with magpies. However, genetically (and if you have any common sense) if you mix an ancona with a magpie you get crosses. In NO way are they pure! It's just like with any other breed or animal. 2 different breeds do not make one of the 2 a pure breed.

Good information to know. Crossing them off my list! We are close to drive down and pick up any order but I don't want mixed breed. What about cackel hatchery?
